I am a passionate composer, multi-instrumentalist and programmer. Music has been a large part of my life since I started drumming when I was a toddler. I have been composing since I was 5 and wrote a song on my own 4-line staff paper for open strings on violin before I started kindergarten.

I composed my first award winning piece when I was in first grade, making it to the Texas State level in the National PTA Reflections contest. My composition, A Duck's Morning, was improvised and recorded on the piano.  
 
I played drums with the School of Rock while I was in elementary school but my interests turned to learning the science and art of computer programming.

In 2021, I developed a graphical data processing engine called Region Reader for my dad's chemistry lab. Recently, I developed a spectral tuner, Slug. It integrates more mic inputs than the commercial equivalent and is designed to help ensembles tune to chords. I also created a piece of software that allows me to sync media with MuseScore, which is not a native feature.

I think it is advantageous for all people of the modern age in a creative discipline to be able to confidently write their own software (without AI).

In 8th grade, I picked up composing again. I made it to the state level the next three years in the same annual National PTA Reflections contest. Consensus, a piano piece, got an honorable mention. Through Knowledge (full orchestra), and Nesting (bass clarinet and marimba), both received the Award of Merit.

In 2023, I wrote War Machine, a lively orchestral piece. The next spring, it was played by my high school orchestra, where I play cello.

In 2024, I submitted White Buffalo, a full symphony, to the National Young Composer Challenge. The piece, an homage to the Lakota people, received 4th place recognition.
 
In 2026, I started AXIOM, a Drum Corp International (DCI) Sound Sport Corps. I collaborated with a friend on the choreo and composed the entire 6:30 book from scratch. Why Doves Cry: An Ode to Minneapolis, is a four-movement marching band piece featuring a soprano saxophone solo. It was composed with the ICE raids, the community reaction, and the killing of protesters, in mind.

My goal is to write emotionally powerful music for movies and other media. In 2026, I took a stab at writing music to go underneath a 2-minute clip from the movie, Tin Tin. The result gave me the confidence I need to pursue a composition degree in the future. My hope is to find an educational environment where I can collaborate with other students who are as passionate and dedicated to making fulfilling and inspiring music as I am.

I am an advocate for composers learning as many instruments as they can get their hands on. I've discovered that every instrument I master is another instrument I have a natural understanding of, which helps me compose more intuitively.
